The Bakash trio came into being on the bustling streets of Cairo. Franco-Syrian flutist Naïssam Jalal and American tenor sax and acoustic bass players Colter Frazier and Miles Jay met and formed this trio, with its distinctive sound, during a prolonged stay in Cairo, and duly claim their cultural and musical belonging to this rich Arab metropolis.

Jay is also a member of Egyptian band “Masar”, whose first opus, released by independently-minded Incognito Records, impressed its audience with serious, high-quality work, putting forth the talent of its members on the levels of both composition and interpretation.
