Armenian Arthur Satyan is one of the best jazz pianists in Lebanon. He instructed and inspired a generation of young Lebanese jazz musicians, and is the pianist that Jazz stars like Larry Coryell, John Hicks and Charles Davis came to Beirut eager to hear and play with. This album showcases his true talent as a performer of famous jazz standards from the likes of George Gershwin, Jesus « Chucho » Valdès and Charlie Parker. Also featured are some of Arthur’s own compositions.
