"96.2 Modern Music Contest" - edition 1

Discover the future generation of up and coming artists on the "underground" music scene in Beirut with the first edition of the "96.2 FM Modern Music Contest"!

After submitting their demo tapes, 11 contestants were selected by a jury of professionals to compete in the final stage of the contest, for a chance to win the production of their first album ever! They are all between 18 and 35 years old, live in Lebanon, compose their own music and haven't produced any album yet. They cover different musical styles, and sing in English, French or Arabic.

Get the compilation today, and get a chance to vote online for your favourite artist: each compilation contains a special username and password that will entitle you to vote for the winner of the contest after listening to the music of all contestants.

The votes will be ongoing until the end of the month of March, on the website of 96.2 FM

Credits & Product details:

All contestants were offered 5 hours to record & mix their tracks, at Tunefork Studios, Beirut, with Fadi Tabbal, in February 2009. All tracks are the result of these recording sessions, except tracks 2, 6 & 9 taken from the original demos.
